Right from my childhood days, I always dreamt of becoming a successful entrepreneur. However, I was always curious about what qualities make you an entrepreneur?
I knew that there are no easy ways to become an entrepreneur. Moreover, there are no traditional methods that can help me achieve my dream, but my constant efforts, hard work, and intense passion for learning can be the roadmap of my journey. And somewhere down the lane, this idea drove me to become what really I am today.
From Childhood Memories to First SEO Job…!
I was born in a middle-class family in 1994 in a small village of Gonda, Uttar Pradesh. I overcame various adversities in my childhood due to our financial conditions. With no roots in the field of SEO, my father is a farmer while my mother is a homemaker.
I completed my high school education from Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP). After that, I joined Polytechnic in 2008 and pursued a 3-year diploma in computer science from Board of Technical Education, Uttar Pradesh (BTEUP).
After completing the diploma in Computer Science in 2011, I started my career as an SEO Expert at an SEO & Web Designing Company in Lucknow at a salary of mere INR ₹3,500 per month (around USD $60 per month), where I worked for a few months rigorously out of my passion. I used to work 15 hours a day on average against the payment for only 8 hours. This was my passion – no pressure from seniors at all.
From Turning Point to Hittin’ the Freelance…!
My confidence and passion made me believe that I have the right amount of talent and skills. I always tried doing big things that are beyond my potential and succeeded in most things I did.
With the aim of fulfilling my dream of becoming an entrepreneur, I quit my job and started working as a freelance SEO expert. Quitting the 9 to 5 job marked the turning point of my life.
However, my journey as a freelance SEO expert was not that easy. In order to meet my daily expenses, I had to start taking up tuition classes.
Another hurdle for pursuing my freelance career was the non-availability of a PC or a Smartphone to access the internet – the basic need of today’s digital world. So, I bought a second-hand PC from a tuition student for INR ₹8,000 (around USD $130). As I did not have enough funds back then, I taught the student for free to repay the amount of PC.
Well, my PC with an active internet connection was ready. But the next roadblock that came on my way was- “FINDING THE CLIENTS AND PROJECTS.”
Sounds funny, right? Well, it wasn’t funny for me then!
At that time, I had no idea how to get SEO clients. Although I had enough knowledge about Search Engine Optimization, I had the minimal experience to start as a freelancer in the SEO industry. I worked relentlessly for days and learned about getting clients. I began creating portfolios over different freelancing sites, namely, Freelancer, Elance + oDesk (now Upwork), etc.
With God Blessings, after several days of bidding, I finally got my first client – my first freelancing project from an American client through Elance with earnings of around USD $40. Slowly and steadily, my career started attaining the pace, and I started making USD $1,000 a month in SEO freelancing.
With boosted confidence and courage, I started working on more projects and accomplished them successfully with 100% client satisfaction.
And Finally Touching the Skies of SEO World…!
Finally, as an experienced SEO expert, I successfully completed around one hundred projects and earned more than USD $100,000 in the next 5 years, and I didn’t stop there.
You might be thinking – what’s the big deal in earning USD $100,000? Well, to be Honest, for ME it was…!
Starting barely from scratch, the amount I have earned from this field to date seems like a dream come true. Every time I receive payments from my clients and see them happy & satisfied, I experience an adrenaline rush – an energy booster, driving me more to pursue my dream job.
Till today, I have served more than 155 Happy and Satisfied Clients.
“I don’t work only for MONEY, I work for clients HAPPINESS.”
